Marathon and Plant trees on Guru Nanak’s 550 Birth Anniversary: Jaipur Sikhs

As the whole world is celebrating Guru Nanak’s 550 birth anniversary planting millions of trees or by spreading Guru’s message to the whole world. The whole world is celebrating the Guru Nanak’s birth anniversary in the deferent forms to aware the people for the massage of Jagat Guru, Guru Nanak Ji in every corner of the world. Which is a proud moment for the Sikhs and that is how Jaipur Sikhs celebrate Guru Nanak’s 550 anniversary. 

Sikhs from Jaipur on November, 02 celebrate Guru Nanak’s 550 birth anniversary to spread the Guru’s teaching by a marathon in the city and it was 2 km marathon from Saint Soldier school to Panch Batti Chorah to MI road and then again to Saint Soldier school. Around seven hundred students from two schools, Guru Nanak senior secondary school Raja Park and Saint Soldier Public School C, scheme and the several Sikh Sangat Join the 2 km marathon in the morning at 08:00 0’ clock to spread the Guru Ji’s massage on the 550 birth anniversary.  

The students and the whole Sikh Sangat was very excited to celebrate Guru’s birth anniversary. Wearing colourful turbans and white t-shirts with the name of Guru Nanak’s 550 logo the roads of the city became white, and it was white everywhere on the road and with the colourful turbans tied by Sikh youth.

By chatting jekaras from Sikh youths and speaking on Guru’s teaching I was feeling very proud at that time. This is the first time for the Jaipur Sikhs where they initiated to do a marathon on the occasion of Guru Nanak’s birth anniversary.          

Speaking to the secretary of Guru Nanak Dev Sr. Sec. School Jasbir Singh he spoke on Guru Nanak Ji’s teaching to the Sikh community and the whole world, the teaching is also known as three pillars of the Sikh Community Kirt Karna, Naam Japna and Wand Cchakna and massage on the environment to all the humanity “Pati Tore Malni Pati, Pati Jio” said that it means we need to take care of the environment as order by Gurbani in Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Director, Rajasthan Sikh Community Ajaypal Singh also spoke on Guru Nanak’s teaching and said that Guru Nanak’s Dharm (service) was to bring the people on God’s way and to do Seva (service) to the humanity truthfully, and honestly. 

Sikligar Sikh Youth Plant Trees 

While returning from the marathon the Sikligar Sikh youth initiated to plant trees. On the same day, they the youth and the students' plant trees in the government school near their dwelling and they plant trees there in schools.

Speaking to Amrit Singh, Jasvinder Singh, Kulmender Singh, Arvin Singh and others they said that they are planting trees on the occasion of Guru Nanak’s 550 birth anniversary as Guru Ji gave the massage to the whole world in Guru Granth Sahib Ji “Balihari Kudrat Vasiya, Tera Ant a Jae Lakhia” such Gurbani’s massage empower as to take care of the word. As the whole world is suffering from air pollution water pollution and more is the warning to the whole world. 

As Guru Ji said in the Guru Granth Sahib.
