Khalsa Aid, helping stuck lorry drivers the UK |
The lorry drives at the border of the UK and France were stuck due to Covid-19. The Sikh volunteers looked after them to provide hot meals. Around 2,000 packets stranded in Kent. The faith-based organization Khalsa Aid covered around 338 km to help out the lorry drivers. Where the Indian media spread lies and violence against Khalsa Aid, UK Prime Minister Boris Jonson and the Department for Transport thanked Ravinder Singh Khalsa Aid.
London: United Kingdom Department for Transport has thanked Ravi Singh Khalsa Aid while helping stuck truck drivers in the UK border closed. They prepared the food chole-chawal, pasta, and mushroom in the nearest Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Gravesend, Kent, they all were there to volunteer and make meals. Ravi Singh writes in his one Facebook post that, UK government has thanked Khalsa Aid. The Department for Transport UK has written a letter to Ravi Singh CEO Khalsa Aid and volunteers about being grateful for selfless service to the stuck lorry drivers.
As per the report, water and packed food packets were sent with the help of a driver.
Seeing all tuff situations, one of the local football clubs Ramsgate jumped on the bandwagon to help out the lorry drivers serving with 200 pizzas.
