Motivational Short Story ( The Circus Elephant)

The Circus Elephant 

We don't believe in our potential because we have been told negative words 

One day, Mr Lovejit visited a circus compound and was surprised to see that a big elephant was only tied with a small chain. He asked the owner why they were using such a small chain on such a big elephant. The owner explained that the elephant thinks that it does not have the strength to break the chain. When this elephant was young, it was tied with this small chain. At that time, the elephant tried to break the chain started to cut into its leg and it was painful. From that day onwards, the elephant began to believe that it could not break the chain. Through this way, the elephant was robbed of its potential. 

During childhood when we are told that we are stupid, useless, and so on, we feel pain and this pain starts to make us believe that we are stupid, useless or naughty. After that these small chains or remarks rob us of our potential. 
Everybody has many small chains that are preventing us from achieving more from life. These chains were put there by our parents, teachers, and others unintentionally. They did not know that it was going to rob us of our confidence and happiness but Nature still robbed us of our potential
